Joe’s grandson and future dog trainer/handler hopeful, Cole, is being tutored by 7 x Champion Hard Driving Bev in the art of bird dog handling! He is officially responsible for Bev’s care and they have fast become best buddies!

Black Ash Trial

Two of Joe’s client’s placed their dogs in the Black Ash Trial this past Saturday. John Patterson pointer, Rusty was first is the Shooting Dog Qualifier and Chris Mathan’s Hard Driving Rita placed third in the Open Shooting Dog. Rita, who will be two later this August is now qualified to run in all open and amateur stakes.

Bev Wins 2008/09 Foster Award

7 x Grouse Champion Hard Driving Bev wins Foster Award for the second time!! With her win of the Ontario Grouse Championship this spring and last fall’s R-U win in the 83 dog Lake States Grouse Championship, Bev once again wins the prestigious Foster Award named after famed artist, writer, and field trialer William Harnden Foster. Bev also won the Foster Award in 2006.

Hard Driving Bev Wins 2009 Ontario Grouse Championship!

“By virtue of a strong, forward race and a stellar grouse find, 10 year old Hard Driving Bev bested a field of 62 to win the Ontario Grouse Championship for the second time in her career. Bev is now a 7 x Champion, 1 x R-U Championship, every one won on the king of game birds, the Ruffed Grouse! The 2009 championship was run on the State College, PA grounds and judged by Joe Cammisa and Craig Peters, both you have campaigned grouse champions themselves.

2008 Lake States Grouse Championship

From Wisconsin, Joe travelled to Michigan for the Lake States Grouse Championship where ten year old (young!), Hard Driving Bev won Runner-Up laurels with a strong 5 grouse find performance in an 83 dog stake.
